Overview:

As we prepare for the upcoming BiZmeetsArt event on November 9, 2024, we invite artists to embrace the theme "Forms of Expression in Art: Celebrating Innovation and Influence." This theme encourages artists to create works that not only showcase their technical skills but also reflect their unique perspectives and the social impact of their art.

 

Guidelines for Artists:

 

1. Diverse Techniques and Media: Artists are encouraged to experiment with various techniques and media. Whether it’s painting, sculpture, digital art, photography, or mixed media, the focus is on innovative approaches. Consider how your chosen medium can support the message of your artwork.

 

2. Narrative of Influence: We want to see how your artwork tells a story or provokes a reaction. Think about the social or community issues you are addressing and how your art can contribute to the discussion. Works that represent themes such as social justice, community engagement, or personal narratives will be especially valued.

 

3. Creativity and Originality: Originality is key. Artists should strive to push boundaries and think outside of norms. What new ideas or approaches can you bring to your work? We encourage you to take creative risks and explore uncharted territories in your art.

 

4. Audience Interaction: Consider how your art will engage viewers. Since the event includes a public voting element, think about how you can appeal to a broad audience while maintaining your artistic integrity. Engaging in a dialogue with your audience can enhance the overall experience.

 

5. Categories of Recognition: Artists can align their works with specific award categories:

• Best Original Work: Create something that is uniquely your own.

• Most Innovative Artist: Challenge the norms and present inventive concepts.

• Best Emerging Talent: Showcase fresh perspectives from new artists.

• Audience Choice Award: Create a piece that resonates with the audience.

• Best Use of Medium: Master your chosen medium in an outstanding way.

• Award for Artistic Impact: Inspire change and provoke thought through your artwork.

You will submit a  selection of 6 artworks per email, from which one artwork will be chosen by the Grace Denker Gallery for the exhibition at the Renaissance Hotel. If none of your artworks are selected, you will receive a full refund of your registration fee. The registration deadline is September 09, 2024. The selection decision will be communicated by September 18, 2024, at the latest.

Preferred artworks are those that can be displayed on the wall. Various sizes are welcome, although we prefer sizes no larger than 100 cm and a weight not exceeding 2 kg. Please send us any sizes you have, and we will choose the most suitable painting. As spots are filling up quickly, we advise you to sign up promptly.
